Kurzform Pionierarbeit 1886 Gründung der Nürnberger Firma und Beginn der Fabrikaton von Fahrrädern. 1901 - Bau der ersten Motorräder mit Einbaumotoren von Cudel und Fafnir. 1920 - Beginn der Motorradfabrikation nach dem 1.Weltkrieg mit dem 494 ccm sv-Einbaumotor von BMW Typ M 2 B15" in das Modell KR 1. 1923 - Martin Stolle kommt von BMW zu Victoria und entwickelt einen ohv-Boxer-Motor für das Modell KR 3, genau ein Jahr vor BMW. 1925 - Dipl. Ing. Steinlein baut den ersten deutschen Kompressormotor bei Victoria. 1926 - Adolf Brudes fährt mit der 497 ccm Kompressor-Victoria neuen
deutschen Geschwindigkeitsrekord mit 166 km/h.1928 - 350 ccm-ohv, 200 ccm-sv ab 1930 auch 500 ccm-ohv und sv-Motoren werden aus England von Sturmey Archer (Raleigh-Konzern) importiert um das Modellprogramm nach »unten« abzurunden. 1931/32 - Victoria gewinnt die Europa-Bermeisterschaft in der Gespannklasse
bis 600 ccm das neue Boxermodell heißt ab sofort

Short Victoria history Pioneer days 1886 - Victoria established a factory near Nürnberg and started pedal cy cle production. 1901 - First motor cycles built
using Cudel und Fafnir engines.1920 - Motor cycle production started after First world War with the use of BMW M 2 B15"- 494 ccm sv-engines in the KR 1. 1923 - Martin Stolle came from BMW and developed an ohv-Boxer-Motor for the KR 3, exactly a year before BMW`s ohv-boxer appeared. 1925 - Engineer Steinlein built the first German supercharged motors at Victoria. 1926 - Adolf Brudes set a new German speed record with a 497 ccm supercharged-Victoria at 166 kmph. 1928 - 350 cc-ohv, 200 cc-sv and from 1930 on, 500 cc-ohv and sv-engines from the English company Sturmey Archer (part of the Raleigh group) were imported to complete the smalles range of machines. 1931/32 - Victoria won the European Bergmeisterschaft" in the 600 cc side car class, the new boxer
model was immediatly named the Bergmeister".Years of change 1937 - Richard Küchen designed the new Victoria model range (Aero, Lux, Fix, Pionier). 1939 - Production of the civil vehicles almost stopped until 1945. The German Wehrmacht" ordered 4000 so called Pionier models with special equipment (see in front of the foto). ![]() 1945 - Factory facilities nearly completely destroyed. 1946 - Engine production started again with the 38 cc, 1 bhp bicycle motor. 1948 - The KR 25 Aero" built again and together with the Vicky" were amongst the best sellers in the years after the war. Boom and collapse 1951 - Georg Dotterweich set a new World speed record with the 38 cc Vicky" on the Munich to Ingolstadt motor-way with a speed of 79 kmph. 1953 - The newly developed KR 26 and 350 cc ohv V 35 Bergmeister twin appeared. 1954 - Rudi Ebert won the long distance event (Lüttich/Belgium - Mailand/Italy - Lüttich/Belgium over 2500 kms) in the 500 cc-side-car-class with the Bergmeister. ![]() 1957 - The 175 cc ohv Parilla" with a Parilla motor from the Mailand company became the last Victoria motor cycle to be built. 1958 - Victoria merged with Express (Neumarkt) and DKW (Ingolstadt) to become the Zweirad Union. 1988 - The first meeting of the Victoria-Interessengemeinschaft founded by Thomas Hey`l was arranged in Idar-Oberstein. |
